Public Hearing on School District Budget

A Public Hearing and Presentation on the Preliminary Proposed 2019-20 Budget for the White Plains City School District will be held in the Assembly Room of Education House, 5 Homeside Lane, on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 7:30 P.M.  This session offers the public an opportunity to ask questions or comment before the budget is finalized and then approved by the Board.


The Board of Education is scheduled to adopt the budget at its April 8th Meeting, 7:30 P.M. at the High School, and there will be a second public hearing on May 13th, 7:30 P.M. at Education House. The public vote on the budget and the election of Board Members will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, with polls open from Noon to 9 P.M. at six voting locations. 


Two Board seats will be up for election, each for a three-year term of office, beginning July 1, 2019. Candidates must file petitions by 4:30 P.M. on May 1st. As of this date, candidates are Sheryl Brady and Charlie Norris, both incumbents.


Absentee ballots will be available from the District Clerk for voters who will not be in White Plains during voting hours.
