    Announcements for Friday, October 20 A-Day

     

    Lunch Today -- beef lasagna

     

    1. Homework help will be held on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays. You must sign up in the cafeteria each day you want to stay. We will have three rooms for homework help. Please be sure to discuss with your parents before you decide to stay. Homework helps will end at 4:05 and there are late buses to take you home. Only those students who signed up for homework help that day will be able to stay.

    3. Were you born in another country? Did you live there for at least 5 years? If so - we want YOU! Come make a video with the international club! Reach out to Sra. Plant(318) or Mme von Sauer (317).

     

    4. International Club will meet on Tuesday, 10/24 and will explore Serbia and Poland. Permission slips must be in to Mme von Sauer this week.

     

    5. It is getting colder outside, please remember your jackets for recess. You must bring jackets to the cafeteria. We cannot allow you to go to your lockers to get your coats once lunch has started.

     

    6. CHORUS STUDENTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO AUDITION FOR ALL -COUNTY CHORUS NEED TO COMPLETE THE FORM IN YOUR CHORUS PAGE ON SCHOOLOGY. AUDITIONS WILL BE DURING THE LUNCH PERIODS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20TH. YOU MUST PICK UP A LUNCH PASS FROM MR. HOMMEZ BEFORE GOING TO LUNCH ON YOUR AUDITION DAY.

This video honoring the friends and family members of the Eastview community who have served our country in the armed forces will be presented during our “Veterans Day Musical Salute!” on Thursday, November 9th. This year’s video tribute to our veterans will also be made available for viewing on the Eastview school website. All pictures to be included in the video tribute to our veterans should be emailed to Mr. Hommez by today

We’ll give you tips on what to expect from your 11-14 year-old and how to cope with it. We will teach you how to keep communication open, while helping your child with successfully navigating the sometimes bewildering, often painful journey to independence. The presentation will take place in the Highlands auditorium, and will be simultaneously presented in Spanish in room 261.

    1. Students please remember to plan your after school activities the night before with your parents. Last minute phone calls to your parents and from your parents are causing a difficult situation. Let your parents know if you are staying after school before 2:30 that day.

     

    2. All students who are running for office must have their COMPLETED petitions back to Mrs. Anastacio in room 313 by no later than today at 2:30pm. No petitions will be accepted after that, so plan ahead to get it finished and submitted quickly! Your absence or a teacher's absence of one day should not be an issue if you plan accordingly. If you or one of your teachers are absent for more than one day, please let me know BEFORE 2:30 on Friday 10/6, and we will make arrangements.

    There is a list by the cafeteria exit door with names of students who have charged meals, some are from last year and some from this year, please start paying those off.

    For your protection, please do not go under the black ropes, walk around.

    Remember: It is required that all students purchasing lunch have a fruit or vegetable on their trays.
