WPMS PTA No Fund Raiser Fund Raiser

No catalogs! No raffle sales!
No clutter we don't need! 
Just hoping to have families donate $20 -or whatever you can give - to your child's PTA.
You will receive a YELLOW a flyer with an envelope attached marked PTA. 
Please send your donation in the envelope!  Your donation funds Field Trips, Assemblies and other enrichment opportunities for your children.  Your support makes these things possible.  Thank you! Attached is the flyer if you didn't receive it.

El centro del "Niño y de la Niña"

The SO, Community Service Club and Sra. Plant's classes will be collecting donations for "El Centro del Niño y de la Niña" between March 1st and March 10th. This community center in Havana, Cuba helps boys and girls from the age of 7 to 15 by providing after school help and fun activities. Sra. Plant was able to meet these students this past summer, and her classes are awaiting responses to their pen pal letters. Needed donations are: Pencils, erasers, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, jump ropes, and deflated sports balls. See Sra. Plant, or place your donation in the box by the Main Office.


Yearbooks will be on pre-sale DURING LUNCH on Friday 3/10. $20 CASH ONLY. This is your LAST chance to pre-order a book. If you need a pre-order form, please stop by Ms. Flynn's room (114) to pick up a form.

“Look Who Got Caught Reading” Campaign Kick Off!

We are asking for students, teachers and staff to celebrate literacy by sending us pictures of them reading their favorite book! Be part of the WPCSD PTA Literacy Celebration poster and collage!  Posters will be hung around school, on social media, in town and at the WP Free Book Celebration on May 6, 2017... to promote this literacy event. 
Parents have to email the pictures in for their children to give permission/release for the PTA to use their image for our advertisement campaign.  Maybe you can be our next STAR, send us a picture of you reading your favorite book to:  dfurrywitt@netzero.com . Deadl ine for submission is: February 25, 2017 ASAP!

Highlands Middle School presents 13

13- A new musical about labels that last a lifetime. Thursday, March 16th & Friday, March 17th . Highlands Auditorium @ 7pm. Adults $10/Students $5. Tickets will be on sale on March 13th-17th during lunch periods or at the door. Please click on link to view flyer.

United States Tennis Association Free Tennis Clinic for our Students  

We are quickly approaching the 5th and final session of free tennis lessons being offered to our students by Tennis Innovators at Delfino Park.  The lessons are Friday nights from 7:30-9 for 5 weeks; March 3,10,17,24,31.  We have room for 25 students and are hoping to include those who have not yet had the opportunity to take the lessons.  Please contact Coach Adams at susanadams@wpcsd.k12.ny.us or 422-2250 to register your child.
