    Announcements for Thursday, April 19 F-Day

    2. Boys Lacrosse Club signups will be outside Mr. Lafiandra’s door (Room 314) at lunch.

     

    3. On May 5, the White Plains PTA Council is sponsoring our 6th Free Book Fair to demonstrate that White Plains is committed to finding innovative solutions to the challenges children face as they strive to reach their potential.

    At the event, we will not only be giving away free books, which include Spanish Language and Summer Reading, but also free refreshments, free giveaways, and free entertainment.

    The FREE Book Fair will take place rain or shine again at Eastview Middle School 2nd floor gym from 10 am to 12 pm (noon) on Saturday, May 5th.

     

    4. Community service club will meet today

     

    5. Video Club is postponed until today. Reminder this is the last meeting of Video Club.

     

    6. Friday- April 20th -------DAY OF ACTION - SAFE SCHOOLS

    FRIDAY IS "WEAR ORANGE DAY!"

    7. April is Autism Awareness Month. Eastview is going to light it up blue to shine a light on autism. For autistic individuals to succeed in this world, they need to find their strengths and the people that will help them get to their hopes and dreams. In order to do so, ability to make and keep friends is a must. Amongst those friends, there must be mentors to show them the way. A supportive environment where they can learn from their mistakes is what we as a society needs to create for them,” - Bill Wong

     

    8. Newspaper Club will meet Friday, 4/20 in room 313 from 2:35-4:05. Please see Mrs. Anastacio if you cannot attend.

     

    9. Come to the Talent Show tryouts and show us your talent!

    The Eastview Talent Show Tryout is on May 4th, 2:30-4:05 in the Auditorium

    You must sign up in the main office to attend the tryout.

    Sign-up sheets will be in the main office starting April 10th and will be in the office until April 24th at 1:00.

    Come to the tryout with all of the people in your act prepared to show us what you want to perform in the Talent Show.

    When you sign up include all of the people who will be in your act, as well as the kind of act you will be performing.

    Talent show rehearsals are May 18th or May 23rd, at 2:35-4:05 in the auditorium (you are only required to attend one of these rehearsal dates)

    Mandatory Full Show Rehearsal, May 30th 2:35 – 4:05

    The Talent Show will be June 1st during the school day; we will follow an afternoon assembly schedule.

    2. In honor of Earth Week 2018- White Plains City Wide Shoe Drive will be held through tomorrow.. Anyone who has a pair of shoes or more that they do not use, could benefit someone with none. This is a project with a short duration and a long lasting impact. Please drop off your shoes in the drop box outside of our main office.
