Wi-Fi Information
WiFi network is available throughout all of its schools, classrooms and offices in the district
**All students, staff, guests and visitors must abide by the Code of Conduct and Board of Education Policies on the use of the district computer network. **
BYOD - WiFi instructions for students and staff only
iOS: iPhone, iPad
- From the Home Screen, tap Settings
- Tap Wi-Fi
- Connect to Consortium
- Enter your username (include @wpcsd.k12.ny.us) and password.
- Tap Trust to approve the certificate for Consortium.
Android
- From the Android home screen, tap Menu, then tap settings.
- Tap Wireless and Network, then tap Wi-Fi settings
- Connect to Consortium
- Under EAP Method, select PEAP
- Under Phase 2 authentication, select MSCHAPV2
- Under CA Certificate, select unspecified or don’t validate
- Under Anonymous Identity- leave blank
- Enter your username (include @wpcsd.k12.ny.us) under Identity and your password in the Password field.
Windows 10
- Connect to Consortium
- Enter your username (include @wpcsd.k12.ny.us) and your password.
- Click connect to accept the certificate for Consortium.
Mac OSX
- Connect to Consortium
- Enter your username (include @wpcsd.k12.ny.us) and your password.
- Click continue to accept the certificate for Consortium.
ChromeOS
- Connect to Consortium
- Under EAP Method, select PEAP
- Under Phase 2 Authentication, choose Automatic
- Under CA certificate, choose Default
- Enter your username (include @wpcsd.k12.ny.us) and password
- Click Connect
WiFi instructions for guests or visitors
- Access the WiFi settings on the device
- Connect to: WPCSD-Guest
- If the screen below does not automatically load, open up any webpage (example: google.com)
- White Plains guest WiFi webpage will open automatically
- Enter your name, email address, and 10-digit mobile phone # (required) include area code (example: 9140001111)
- Select Mobile Carrier (select Verizon if your vendor is not listed)
- Click I accept the terms of use
- Click Register
