The White Plains High School English department has developed a rigorous core curriculum designed as a pathway for all students to our most challenging courses, such as Advanced Placement, and to college readiness. The English faculty participates in professional training, consistently reviews and revises curriculum , and collaborates in grade level teams to be sure that all White Plains students are both supported and challenged. Great efforts are taken to be sure that the English curriculum best meets the needs of our students in our mission to prepare students as readers, writers, and thinkers for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
