ROSEMARIE ELLER
President

Rosemarie Eller has been a member of the Board of Education since 2005 and is currently President of the Board. She has two children who have attended White Plains Schools.

Very active in the community, Ms. Eller has been President of the Education Club of Mt. Hope A.M.E. Zion Church and a Sunday School teacher there; a past member of the Board of Directors of Happy Harbor Child Care Center, and a recipient of a Certificate of Recognition for development of youth from the White Plains Youth Bureau.

A graduate of Adelphi University, Ms. Eller is a Director, Data Analyst at Pfizer Inc.

Currently Mrs. Eller serves on the Board's Finance/Audit, Policy and Human Resources Committees. She also represents the Board on the White Plains Youth Bureau.

CAYNE LETIZIA
Vice President
Term Expires 2024

Cayne Letizia, Board Vice President,  was elected to the board in 2015 and has been a White Plains resident since 2010.  Three of his children attend White Plains Schools. 

A graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Dr. Letizia holds a Master’s degree in Education  and a Ph.D. in Language Literacy & Learning, both from Fordham University.  With 24 years’ experience as an educator, he is currently an English Teacher in the Chappaqua Central School District.

He currently serves as Secretary and has been a Board of Director for The Westchester Putnam School Board Association since 2016.

Dr. Letizia serves on the Board’s Curriculum and Human Resources Committees, and represents the Board on the City’s Recreation Advisory Committee.

CHARLIE NORRIS
Term Expires 2028

Charlie Norris was elected to the Board of Education in 2007 and has been a resident of White Plains since 1987. His two children graduated from White Plains High School.

Mr. Norris is a graduate of SUNY/Stonybrook and has a J.D. degree from New York Law School. He practices law in White Plains. Active in the schools before his Board election, Mr. Norris has been a member of the Annual Budget Committee, the District's Strategic Planning Core Team, and was PTA president at White Plains High School – the first male to serve in that role. He has served on the Board of the White Plains Youth Soccer League. Mr. Norris serves on the Board's Human Resources and Special Education Committees. He also represents the Board on PTA Council and the Westchester-Putnam School Boards Association.

SHERYL BRADY
Term Expires 2028

Sheryl Brady has been a White Plains resident for 38 years and was first elected to the Board of Education in 2007.  All four of her children are proud graduates of the White Plains Schools.

Sheryl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Chemistry from Purchase College and a Master’s and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Cornell University where she was a Danforth Fellow.  Formerly, she was an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Mathematics Department at Purchase College, and currently, she is Manager of Operations and Client Services at Bennett International Education Consultancy as well as a teacher in the Congregation Kol Ami Religious School. 

An active member of the White Plains schools and greater community, Sheryl previously served as President of the Post Road PTA and PTA Council and was a member of the District’s Strategic Planning Core Team and Annual Budget Committee. 

On the Board, Sheryl serves on the Curriculum, Special Education, and Policy Committees.  She has also been Board liaison to the PTA Council and the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association.  In addition, Sheryl serves on the Southern Westchester BOCES Board of Education and is the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Area 10 Director, representing Westchester, Putnam, and Rockland Counties.  

CRAIG MONDSCHEIN
Term Expires 2027

A resident of White Plains since 2012, Mr. Mondschein was elected to the Board in 2024.  Mr. Mondschein previously served on the White Plains Schools Finance / Audit committee as a community member from 2017 to 2024.  Two of his children are graduates of White Plains Schools.

Mr. Mondschein earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Rochester and his Master of Business Administration at the William E Simon Graduate School at the University of Rochester.   Mr. Mondschein is the Treasury Senior Director at Tishman Speyer.  

As a Board Member, Mr. Mondschein serves on the Finance / Audit, Human Resources and Policy committees.

JESSICA ROMAN BUCK
Term Expires 2027

Jessica has been a resident of White Plains since 2003 and was elected to the Board in 2024. Her son will be attending White Plains High School in the fall.

Prior to her election to the Board, Jessica served as President of the PTA Council and has held multiple chair positions on the PTA at both the local and regional levels. Leading large-scale events like the Halloween Spooktacular and Silent Auction/Dinner Dance at Ridgeway, as well as, Book Fairs, 5th Grade Committee & Health & Wellness committee, Jessica has helped to raise over $40K to support the PTA and Ridgeway school community.

As Membership Chair of the Westchester East Putnam Regional PTA (WEPR), Jessica led consistent PTA membership growth year over year for almost 180+ units within the WEPR region.

Most recently, Jessica founded the Highlands 8th Grade Fundraising Committee Booster Club and raised $25K to support 8th grade end of year activities.

Jessica is a Marketing Consultant and earned an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management with a concentration in Brand Management/Marketing. Prior to earning her MBA, Jessica worked as a Finance Associate for Meryl Lynch after graduating from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. in Business Administration concentration in Marketing/Management.

Jessica will be serving on the Board’s Special Needs committee and will be liaison to the PTA

VALERIE DANIELE
Term Expires 2026

Valerie Daniele has been a resident of White Plains since 2004 and was elected to the Board in 2023.  Her two children attend White Plains schools.

Ms. Daniele earned a Bachelor of Science in the Administration of Justice from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law.  She serves as an Associate Regional Counsel for Litigation for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Ms. Daniele is active in the greater White Plains community.  She currently serves on the board of directors for the LOFT LGBT Community Center and formerly served on the Board of the Kingsley House Senior Development and as a trustee for the White Plains Presbyterian Church.
