White Plains High School Science Research student Francis Fokoue-Nkoutche has earned a Gold Medal (1st Place) in Engineering at the Westchester ACT-SO competition. His project, “Developing a Headset for Children and Teens with Sensory Modulation Disorder Who Are Hypersensitive to Sound,” showcases both innovation and compassion — designing technology to support those with heightened sensory needs. With this achievement, Francis has qualified to represent White Plains at the National NAACP ACT-SO Competition in Chicago on July 16. Congratulations to Francis on this remarkable honor and his commitment to research that makes a difference!
