26 years of music, mentorship shine at WPHS Songwriter's Club Showcase

The White Plains High School Songwriter’s Club wrapped up its 26th year with a riveting final showcase that highlighted the extraordinary talent and creativity of its student musicians. Seniors Angela Bediako, Sabrina Bonelli, Nick Nucaj, Brian Guedes, Jordan Adeniyi and Saul Leon delivered showstopping performances of original music while also serving as mentors and leaders for younger classmates in the club. Founded in September 2000 by English teacher Dennis Polanco, the Songwriter’s Club has become a vibrant and enduring part of the White Plains community. The collective of eclectic and dynamic student musicians presents four showcases each year — two cover concerts and two original music performances — celebrating the remarkable diversity of musical expression found at WPHS.
