Eastview Middle School students served lucky bites in Shamrockin' cafeteria

Tray of St. Patrick's Day themed food

Eastview Middle School students struck gold when they took over the cafeteria today! After voting on their favorite bites, their dream menu magically appeared – and no leprechaun tricks were needed -- thanks to White Plains City School District Food Services Director Maggie Porretto, Cafeteria Lead Manager Ria Ieromonahos, Patrick Firmender and their all-star kitchen crew. Breakfast kicked things off with chocolate chip muffins, whole grain Lucky Charms (because of course!), fresh fruit and milk to wash it all down. By lunchtime, the luck kept rolling with shamrock-shaped chicken nuggets, green goddess chickpea pasta salad, tortilla chips and fresh kiwi. Students found surprise shamrock stickers on “lucky trays” for prizes, proving it really was the luck of the Irish! Even students who brought lunch from home got a sprinkle of good fortune with surprise giveaways.
