WPHS welcomes 10 new members in Fall National Honor Society Induction Ceremony

White Plains High School hosted its first Fall National Honor Society Induction Ceremony Wednesday afternoon – welcoming 10 new members, who pledged to uphold the group’s core values of  scholarship, service, leadership and character.

The new inductees are Adolfo Hernandez Cuenca, Andy Perales, Juliet Weigand, Matthew Vergara, Joshua Vergara, Abigail Vega, Miles Ingram, Sophie Mercer, Kaden Matthew Withy and Vivi Nguyen. Andy was unable to attend.

Principal Emerly Martinez commended the honorees for contributing thousands of hours of community service last year. 
He also praised their many accomplishments and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence both academically and in service to the community.

The White Plains City School District is proud of the 10 members and appreciates the efforts of the dedicated NHS officers who led the ceremony along with advisers Jennifer Stein and Marlena Simmons.
