Highlands Middle School’s Select Choir and Jazz Band brought the holiday spirit to the district office this morning as the first stop on their holiday caroling tour. The students, led by music teachers Michele Davila, Timothy Veeder and Jennifer Irlen, also visited NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital to sing to patients and the food court at The Westchester.

The choir and band at Highlands have carried out this tradition for 10 years, performing throughout White Plains to celebrate the holiday season with the community. This year’s performance featured a student pianist, eighth grader Christian Delaney, and solo performances from eighth graders Alon Greenberg, Matthew Panos and Gabriel Ugorji. Ms. Irlen also served as the accompanist for several pieces.

Staff in the district office enjoyed the performance, clapping and cheering at the end of each song before sending the group off for the rest of their musical tour!
