  • Critical Literacy
As a book lover and self proclaimed "NERD", I was very excited to hear that I would be teaching a class called Critical Literacy!  One of my favorite things about teaching is listening to students get excited about what they are reading; that is exactly what happens in a Critical Literacy discussion. I have seen students who "hate" reading learn to love it during our discussions. When students see that what they have to say is important, and that they can have different opinions and still be right, their eyes open up and they start to see the world differently through literature.
The Critical Literacy grading policy is as follows:
    • 50% Assessments
    • 50% Graded Assignments
