    Rules/Grading Policies

    Rules

    BE PREPARED AND READY TO GO

    1.    Two pencils, binder and calculatorshould be brought to class everyday.

    2.   Be on time and in your seat when the bell rings. (Lateness will not be tolerated)

    3.   Payattention and stay on task.

                                                                                                                                       

    BE RESPECTFUL

    1.    One person talks at a time.

    2.   Be sensitive to other’s feelings and treatthem the way you would like to be treated.

    3.   Be respectful of other’s property.

    4.   Keepclassroom clean.

    5.   Raiseyour hand to be called on.  * DO NOT CALL OUT *

    6.   Useappropriate “classroom” language

     

    BE Organized

    1.    Followdirections the FIRST TIME given

    2.   Beresponsible for your work.  Don’t copyfrom others.

    3.   Be inyour seat…with your supplies…working on the DO NOW when the bell rings

    HOMEWORK
    (20%) – Homework will be assigned every day in class and will be checked the following day at the beginning of class.(Homework should be on loose-leaf paper, in pencil, and with all workshown)  Every student starts with 100points and loses 4 points for each assignment not in class the day it isdue.  If absent from school, theassignment will be checked the day the student returns to class.  

     

    ASSESSMENT (65%) 

    TESTS  – Students will be given a test at the end of every unit.  They will be aware of when these tests are scheduled.  If the student misses a test for any reason they must see Ms. Di Camillo to schedule a time for the test to be made up. There are about 3 tests each marking period.

     

    QUIZZES  – A pop quiz will be given at least once a week and will contain mostly homework questions.  Any student who misses a quiz has one week to make it up before it counts as zero. 

     

    PROBLEM OF THE WEEK (15%) There will be assessment problems given throughout the marking period (POW’s, embedded assessments, check points, etc).  The lowest score will be dropped..
