The White Plains Public Schools is currently seeking substitutes for classroom teachers.
Substitutes enjoy flexible hours and can:
Determine the days and hours they want to work.
Select the school(s) in which they want to work.
Be home during vacations and holidays.
Substitutes have an opportunity to:
Serve the children of our community on a part-time basis.
Gain experience in an educational environment.
Display and enhance their teaching skills.
Substitutes can earn:
· $126 per day for the first 20 days as a per diem substitute and $146 per day thereafter, or
· $154 per day for a building substitute.
A Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s Degree is required. Teacher certification is preferred but not required. The school district will provide necessary training.

AESOP ONLINE SUBSTITUTE SYSTEMThe Aesop online substitute system is the system the White Plains Public School teachers use to register an absence and to secure a substitute teacher in the classroom. It is also the system that substitute teachers access information about what assignments are available to them within the District. At the beginning of the school year, each staff member was given an Aesop user name and password to access the system.
