- About Mrs. Levin

I am delighted to introduce myself as your science teacher. I have been teaching 6th grade science for many years. Before that I taught 2nd and 4th grades. While my own children were small I taught pre-school and adult ESL; and have been tutoring high school biology and chemistry for many years. I have a master’s degree in elementary education from Columbia University Teachers’ College, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Toronto. I am certified by the State of New York to teach elementary education, grades Nursery through 6, and to teach chemistry for grades 5-9 and grades 7-12. My own two children give me a parent’s perspective as well. I enjoy reading, eating, science and nature, gardening and hiking. It is very exciting for me to teach in a dynamic district like White Plains! I look forward to working together for a productive, engaging, and challenging learning experience!
