    BOARD OF EDUCATION ELECTION DATES SET

    The Annual White Plains Board of Education Budget Vote and Election will take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, Noon to 9 P.M., at six voting districts.  Three Board seats will be up for election, each with a three-year term of office, beginning July 1, 2021.

    Candidates must be United States citizens, 18 years of age or more and residents of White Plains for at least one year.  Petitions are available from Michele Schoenfeld, District Clerk, at 5 Homeside Lane.  They must be signed by 100 qualified voters and returned by April 28th. Registration, for qualified voters new to the City, or those who are not registered to vote in general elections, will take place on Saturday, May 1st, Noon to 5 P.M., at Mamaroneck Avenue School, Nosband Avenue.  A resident who has moved within White Plains during the last year may also change his/her voting address at that time.

    Absentee ballot applications may be requested from the District Clerk, due to absence from the city on election day, temporary or permanent illness or physical disability, or potential for contraction of the virus that causes COVID-19, among other reasons.

    FECHAS PROGRAMADAS PARA LAS ELECCIONES PARA LA JUNTA DE EDUCACION

    La Votación para el Presupuesto y Elección Anual de la Junta de Educación de White Plains tendrá lugar el martes, 18 de mayo, 2021, del Mediodía hasta las 9 P.M., en seis distritos de votaciones.    Tres positiones estarán disponibles para elección a la Junta, cada una con un mandato de tres años, comenzando el 1ro de Julio, 2021.

    Los Candidatos deben ser Ciudadanos de los Estados Unidos, de 18 años o mayores y residentes en White Plains por lo menos por un año.  Las peticiones están disponibles con Michele Schoenfeld, Secretaria del Distrito, en 5 Homeside Lane.  Estas deben estar firmadas por 100 votantes calificados y retornadas para el 28 de abril.

    La registración, para votantes calificados nuevos para la Ciudad, o aquellos que no están registrados para votar en las elecciones generales, tomará lugar el sábado, 1 de mayo, del Mediodía hasta las 5 P.M., en la Escuela Mamaroneck Avenue, Nosband Avenue.  Un residente que se ha mudado a White Plains durante el último año también puede cambiar su dirección de votante en ese momento.

    Pueden solicitar las aplicaciones para el voto en ausencia de la Secretaria de la Junta, debido ausencia de la ciudad el día de elecciones, enfermedad temporal o permanente o incapacidad física, o potencial de contraer el virus que cause COVID-19, entre otras razones.

  • The Board of Education Budget Vote and Election will take place on Tuesday, May 18th, from Noon to 9:00 p.m. at six polling places. The ballot will include the 2021-22 School District Budget and a vote for Board of Education Members.  Three seats will be available, for three-year terms from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024.  For further information, please contact the District Clerk, at 914-422-2071.     • Absentee ballots are available by application to the District Clerk, for any voter who will not be in White Plains during the time of the election. Click here for the absentee ballot form.  For the for more information, please call 422-2000.
    • Residents who are registered to vote in general elections are eligible to vote, or they may register with the District Clerk's office.  To vote in the general elections, a resident must register with the Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas Street, any time throughout the year.
    • Qualifications for voters are: a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or more, and a resident of White Plains for at least 30 days prior to the election.
