• What is PTA?

The Church Street PTA is made up of parents, teachers, and community members who volunteer their time and talents to help support our school.  We organize events for the school community and raise funds to support our teachers, staff, students, and families. With schools facing challenges like shrinking budgets and lack of educational equity, PTA is more important than ever.

There is help. We are the Parent Teacher Association. We are a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child. We help raise funds for a range of school items and events, all of which enrich children’s learning experiences.

There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. This saying is true in the case of children’s education. The school and the family are the two most important forces that shape children. Parents and teachers can learn a lot from each other, and the PTA plays a huge part in enabling this exchange.
