• Q: Will transportation be provided? 
    A: Yes, transportation will be provided to students who meet the following eligibility requirements: 

    • Grades K-5: students must live more than ½ mile from school of attendance. 
    • Grades 6-12: students must live more than 1 mile from school of attendance. 
       

    Q: Will students be required to wear a mask/face covering? 
    A: Yes, students will be required to wear a mask/face covering unless they are medically not able to. 
     

    Q: Will there be temperature screenings prior to boarding the school bus? 
    A: Yes, parents are required to take the temperature of their child(ren) prior to loading the school bus and answer the daily health questionnaire via K-12 Alerts.  
     

    Q: Will drivers, monitors and attendants wear a mask/face covering? 
    A: Yes, all staff members will be required to wear a mask/face covering. 
     

    Q: Will transportation be denied to students not wearing a mask/face covering? 
    A: No, transportation will not be denied to students without a mask/face covering. Mask/face coverings will be provided at the bus stop and the respective school building will be notified.  
     

    Q: I have more than one child eligible for transportation, are they be required to sit in separate seats? 
    A: No, students from the same household may sit together to increase bus capacity. 
     

    Q: If I do not require transportation services, should I notify the school district? 
    A: Yes, the school district should be notified.  
     

    Q: If I do not initially require transportation services, can I still be provided transportation later in the school year? 
    A: Yes, provided eligibility requirements are met, please contact the transportation office, and allow for 48 hours for arrangements to be made. 
     

    Q: Will transportation be provided to child-care centers? 
    A: Yes, provided the institutions are in operation.  
     

    Q: Does child-care arrangements need to be consistent? 
    A: Yes, transportation arrangements to child-care locations must be consistent (for example, every M/W/F.)  
     

    Q: Will students maintain social distance on the school bus? 
    A: Yes, social distance practices will be followed whenever possible.  
     

    Q. Will students be assigned seats?
    A: Yes, seating will be assigned bycohort, whenever possible. 
     

    Q: Will seats be marked? 
    A: Yes, seats will have markings to indicate where students may sit. 
     

    Q: Will students who are not assigned to a route be permitted on a bus? 
    A: No, students who are not assigned to a bus route will not be permitted on the bus. 
     

    Q: Will transportation be provided to in district non-public schools? 
    A: Yes, transportation will be provided to non-public schools within the city school district boundaries provided eligibility requirements are met.  
     

    Q: Will buses be disinfected 
    A: Yes, buses will be cleaned and disinfected daily, and drivers will clean high use areas as part of the pre/post inspection.  
     

    Q: Will buses be ventilated? 
    A: Yes, weather permitting, windows and roof hatches will be open to increase ventilation.  
     

    Q: Is hand sanitizer permitted on the school bus? 
    A: Yes, hand sanitizer will be permitted on the school bus.
