Mr. Castillo

Mr. Castillo is a native of New York City, born and raised in the Harlem section of Manhattan.  From a young age he had a strong interest in visual arts, industrial design and engineering.  During high school he joined the Tim Rollins & K.O.S (Kids Of Survival) art group,  where he collaborated to produce artwork exhibited at art institutions worldwide.  For his undergraduate studies Mr. Castillo majored in the Studio Arts program at Bard College, during which he also studied at the School of the Arts in Lacoste, France.  After graduating from Bard College in 2003, he went on to CUNY Lehman College to receive a master's degree and teacher certification in Art Education in 2010.  Mr. Castillo has taught students in K-12th grade schools throughout New York City and Westchester.  He enjoys photography, sculpture and visiting the American Museum of Natural History with his 7 year old daughter to draw the animals and fossil skeletons.
