STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, is a curriculum that focuses on combining two or more of these disciplines in order complete a specific challenge, where learners are given both a criteria (what must be accomplished) and constraints (limiting factors) to adhere to.
Science is the study of the natural world through experiments and observation.
Technology is anything created to solve a problem or meet a need.
Engineering is designing and building machines or structures.
Math is the study of numbers.
When we have STEM enrichment, students become scientists, technicians, engineers, and mathematicians. They are observing, designing, and using tools and numbers to solve a challenge.
