    AREA ALL STATE CHOIRS
     
    Over the years, WPHS students have performed with the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) and National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-Eastern (NE US states), All-State (NY) and  Area All State (Westchester County) Area Choirs. Selection for these choirs are based on scores they received on their solo performances at the previous spring's NYSSMA Solo/Ensemble Festival.

    ALL STATE CHOIRS
     
    A record six members of the WPHS Choir have been selected for the the New York State School Music Association Conference ALL STATE choirs which will rehearse and perform at the NYSSMA Conference in Rochester in early December. Oscar Cobo, Najee Gabay-Knight, Erika Noach, Daniel Petralia, Griffin Taylor, and Luke Taylor, were selected from top-scoring soloists state-wide. Twelve members of the WPHS Choir recently performed with the New York State School Music Association Zone 11 (Westchester County) Area All State Choirs. These choirs consisted of some of the finest high school singers in Westchester County. Nikki Barber, Caroline Blaney, Oscar Cobo, Najee Gabay-Knight, Klara Gribetz, Alexandra Imbrosci, Sebastianne Kent, Erika Noach, Daniel Petralia, Griffin Taylor, Luke Taylor, Selina Thompson were selected to participate in the choir based on scores they received on their solo performances at last spring's NYSSMA Solo/Ensemble Festival.
     
    AMERICAN CHORAL DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION
    NATIONAL HONOR CHOIR
     
    Daniel Petralia, a senior and a tenor at WPHS, was recently selected to be part of the ACDA National Honor Choir which will rehearse and perform in Chicago in early March. Daniel will be part of the Men's Honor Choir, a 300-voice ensemble consisting of high school, university, and adult singers. About 700 men had submitted recorded applications to this Honor Choir.
