Announcements for Tuesday, May 22 F-Day  

 

1.          Lunch---   tangerine chicken over rice

 

2.         You will have a 6th grade band dress rehearsal on Wednesday during periods 8 and 9.  That is ON your concert day. Please remember your instruments!

 

3.         Attention 6th grade ABC Orchestra kids: you are to report to orchestra period three today(5/22) for a dress rehearsal. Please do not forget your instruments and music.

 

4.         From now on- students will be unable to charge in the cafeteria.  You will only be able to get peanut butter and jelly- no exceptions.  Please pay off your negative balances.    

 

5.         Attention all 6th grade boys – Intramural soccer we will be meeting today.   Meet in Mr. Baker’s room (220) afterschool.

 

6.          Homework help will be held today this week- Thursday’s h/w is canceled.  7th and 8th graders will report to room 201 for homework help in room 201.

 

7.         All 6th grade Advanced Chorus students have an important final rehearsal in the auditorium during period 9 today. This is the only time that we will be able to sing together with our accompanist before our concert on Wednesday night.  All 6th grade singers must attend this final rehearsal during period 9 on Tuesday! 

 

8.         Any 8th grader who signed up for HS CROSS COUNTRY, must see Mrs. Dessner during lunch today

 

9.         Today any 8th grade student may try out to be one of the speakers at our 8th grade moving up ceremony on June 21 at 3:00 pm.  The topic for the speech is “Be the Change” and it is intended to be a speech that inspires and motivates our 8th graders as they move on to high school and all its challenges and possibilities.  Tryouts are at 2:30 in the auditorium.  If you have a conflict with that date, students need to see Mrs. Turk in Room 310.

 

10.     6th Graders:  Remember to return your permission slip and money to your Science teacher for our class trip!  Due by tomorrow. 

 

11.     Attention all students—after school activities are canceled here and at the Highlands on Thursday.  All late buses are canceled.  All students are asked to leave the campus at 2:30.  Have a nice Memorial Day Weekend.  See you back in school on Wednesday, May 30.

 

12.     Sign up sheets are in the gym for Fall sports. The choices are:

CHEERLEADING 8TH GRADE ONLY--CROSS COUNTRY-BOYS & GIRLS--FIELD HOCKEY- GIRLS--FOOTBALL –BOYS--SOCCER-BOYS & GIRLS--SWIM – GIRLS--VOLLEY BALL- GIRLs

4.         Mandatory Talent Show rehearsal for all performers, MC’s and stage crew members today.  All should be present by 2:40 and plan to stay until 4:15.

6.         Any present 6th or 7th grade boy or girl that is interested in running Middle School Cross Country in the fall should see the nurse for a medical waiver. Also, stop by room 217 ( Mr McGee’s room) to sign up
