White Plains High School and Archbishop Stepinac High School have made a joint announcement that this year’s Thanksgiving Day Football Game, slated for Thursday, November 26, has been cancelled. Stepinac Athletic Director, Michael O’Donnell, said that his team may be continuing to play past Thanksgiving Day in playoff games and would not have the required rest between games. O’Donnell and White Plains Athletic Director Matt Cameron said, “The game is a great tradition for both schools and the entire community and we are sorry we will not be playing it this year.”
INFORMATION REGARDING FALL SPORTS INTERVIEWS
Every student that would like to play a fall sport must be interviewed by the school nurse. This is a NYS requirement.
All interviews will be held in the High School Nurse’s office. DO NOT COME BEFORE THE STATED TIME.
Timeslots have been assigned to all the fall teams. If a student cannot make their teams scheduled session, they may come to any other time slot but must wait until after the scheduled team is finished.
