The Dual Language Academy is an instructional model whereby students in two classes have an opportunity to learn our school district’s curriculum in both English and in Spanish. Students spend equal amounts of time during each school year learning the content area in both languages.
Four 5th grade students have been selected as the recipient of the 2011 New York State Physical Education Award. Each year, the New York State Association for Health and Physical Education asks its member teachers to nominate girls and boys from their school who best exemplify a well physically educated student.
The Harvest Food Drive along with our 5th grade ambassadors collected food and donations to create 36 packages of food given to families in the community.
Fun was had by all at the 2012 GW PTA Family Skate Night. The GW Playground Committee hosted a GW Skate night fundraiser at Ebersole Ice Rink on Saturday February 4th. Over $1,000.00 was raised to benefit our playground fund.
